Unity Health COVID Clinic Closure

After a very busy and successful 7 months, we closed the doors to our COVID Vaccination Centre on Wednesday 30th June.

We were the second vaccination centre to open in Buckinghamshire, delivering just under 30,000 Pfizer and Astrazeneca vaccines. We have administered both first and second doses to patients aged 50 and over and those with underlying health conditions. In addition we have given first doses for those aged 18-49 years. Everyone who received their first dose through us will need to book their second dose after 8 weeks via the National Booking system online or by calling 119. The same applies for those still needing to book their first dose. Whilst we are no longer offering COVID vaccines, we would still like to encourage everyone to be vaccinated.

We are extremely proud of what we have achieved during this time and this would not have been possible without our dedicated members of staff across all 5 sites, whether this was working in the vaccination centre or keeping the surgeries afloat. We are also grateful to have such supportive patients.

And last, but most definitely not least, we would like to a say a very big Thank-You to all our volunteers – vaccinators, queue managers and traffic/car park marshals. We were extremely fortunate to have such a huge uptake of volunteers, regardless of the weather conditions or the day of the week, we never struggled to fill all the positions needed to allow our clinics to run smoothly. They have nominated two local charities to whom we will make a charitable donation; these are Rennie Grove Hospice and The Princes Centre in Princes Risborough.
