Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccinations are offered to our patients who are over 65 and to those with one or more of the following conditions.

 

  • Chronic respiratory disease – COPD/emphysema/cystic fibrosis
  •  Asthma that requires repeated use of inhaled steroids
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Kidney or liver disease
  • Lowered immunity due to disease or treatment (such as steroid medication or cancer treatment)
  • History of stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
  • Neurological condition, for example multiple sclerosis (MS) or cerebral palsy, cerebral shunt
  • Problem with your spleen, for example sickle cell disease or you have had your spleen removed.
  • The main carer of an older or disabled person, receiving Carer’s Allowance
  • Household contact of an immunocompromised person or person undergoing chemotherapy
  • Pregnant
