All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The figure calculated includes only core NHS income (it excludes, for example, dispensing income, private drugs and external appointments) and is split between the number of GPs who worked at the practice for more than six months regardless of whether they were full or part-time. The figures are not pro-rata for whole time and do not represent the actual earnings of a GP.
The average pay for GPs working in Unity Health in the last financial year was £53,914 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs and 16 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
